A mini crossword from your own words
One AcrossYour words, crossed and clued
Type a few words that mean something to you and someone, each with a short true note. The page lays them out as a crossword you can reshuffle, solve here and print for a card. One run writes fair clues from your notes.
1 Your words free
Leave out addresses, phone numbers and anything private - a crossword only needs the words and the small true story behind each.

3 Write the clues
The page's own clues are your notes with the answer blanked out. One run reads every note and writes a fair clue for each answer in the style you picked, plus a title and a one-line intro. The page then checks each clue against your words and keeps its own clue wherever one gives the answer away. Reshuffling the grid never needs another run.

How the grid is made
The page places the longest answer first, then fits each next one across or down where it shares a letter, never touching another answer side by side. From one layout code it tries many orders and keeps the grid that fits the most answers with the most crossings in the smallest, squarest box, then checks it: every run of letters is one of your answers and every answer joins the rest. The same words and code always give the same grid, so a code is how you get a layout back. Start from puts the answer you pick in first.
An answer that shares no letter with the grid is left out of that layout - shuffle, start from another answer, or add a word that bridges it. Clues are only as true as your notes: a clue never adds a fact you did not type, and an answer with no note gets a plain definition. It is a gift-maker, not a puzzle archive - nothing is kept unless you save it.
